You should wash softshell and hybrid jackets inside out at a maximum temperature of 30°C. It’s best to use a special liquid detergent designed for technical clothing, and be sure to avoid fabric softener, as it can clog the pores.

Water-repellent jackets, often softshells or performance jackets, can withstand brief showers. However, if you work in the rain for extended periods, you’ll need a waterproof work jacket or parka with sealed seams and a water column rating of at least 5,000 mm.
