The summer is just around the corner – and with it high temperatures. In many professions, things are getting "hot." But even on hot days, wearing safety shoes cannot be neglected in many jobs. To make warm working days bearable, it is worth investing in lightweight and breathable footwear. Safety shoes for summer are ideally equipped with a breathable upper material made of textile fabric or sandwich mesh and a breathable mesh lining that transports heat and moisture outside and ensures a pleasant climate inside the shoe. Breathable insoles that absorb moisture and release it downwards are also helpful. When it comes to puncture protection, it is also worth taking a look at the technology. FAPLite® from ALBATROS, for example, is a specially developed puncture protection of the latest generation made from non-metallic, extremely tear-resistant fibers. It is not only 50% lighter than a conventional puncture protection made of textile fiber, but it also offers high flexibility and achieves high moisture absorption, breathability, and cooling effect due to its material properties. The best option for active air circulation in the safety shoe area is certainly the sandal. The S1 safety sandal JETSTREAM IMPULSE LOW from ALBATROS, made of high-quality microfiber and robust textile inserts, is both breathable and durable. So that you can wear them comfortably for long hours on the job, their sole is designed to provide excellent cushioning, stability, and comfort. If you are required to wear safety shoes of class S3, a sandal is of course not an option for you. But even with closed S3 safety shoes, you can pay attention to breathable upper materials. Shoes equipped with a membrane are very suitable for work in areas with a lot of moisture and dampness. The membrane forms an additional layer that is both water-repellent and breathable. However, a shoe without a membrane allows for better moisture transport, as the additional layer is missing. Therefore, if a safety shoe with a membrane is not absolutely necessary, it should be avoided in favor of breathability during the summer months. Because: safety shoes of safety class S3 are already equipped with a water-repellent upper material due to their certification, which protects against moisture from the outside. The ULTRATRAIL GREY LOW from ALBATROS is a perfect S3 outdoor safety shoe for hot days. The light upper material made of full-grain leather and abrasion-resistant textile inserts allows for very good moisture transport, while the XTS Trail sole provides grip and stability on various surfaces. Both models, the JETSTREAM IMPULSE LOW sandal and the ULTRATRAIL GREY LOW, are available in sizes 36-47.
